Terms of service
Last updated: 25 July 2026
The service
FilingKeeper is a deadline-tracking tool for UK accounting and bookkeeping practices. It calculates statutory filing deadlines from the information you enter, sends reminders, and records what your practice has filed.
The most important term
FilingKeeper reminds you; your practice files. We never submit anything to HMRC, Companies House or any other authority on your behalf. Deadline dates are calculated from the information you provide and from published UK rules, but professional responsibility for every filing, its accuracy and its timeliness remains with you and your practice. FilingKeeper is a support tool, not a substitute for professional judgement.
Your account
- You must provide accurate information and keep your credentials secure.
- You are responsible for the people you invite to your practice account.
- You must be authorised to enter your clients' details into the service.
Trials, billing and cancellation
- New accounts start with a 14-day free trial. No card is required to begin.
- Paid plans are billed monthly or annually through Paddle, our merchant of record.
- You can cancel at any time; access continues to the end of the paid period.
- If you exceed your plan's client limit, we will ask you to move up a plan.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no unauthorised access attempts, no interference with its operation, and no use that breaks the law. We may suspend accounts that put the service or other customers at risk.
Your data
Your practice's data belongs to you. We process it only to provide the service, as described in our privacy policy. You can export your data or ask us to delete it when you leave.
Liability
We provide the service with reasonable skill and care, but to the maximum extent permitted by law we are not liable for penalties, losses or claims arising from missed or incorrect filings, and our total liability under these terms is limited to the fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.
Changes and ending the service
We may update these terms or the service itself. If a change is material we will give you reasonable notice by email. If we ever discontinue the service, we will give you at least 60 days to export your data.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction.
